Orbits

This kinetic sculpture has four disks that rotate and float in space to create soothing mesmerizing random patterns. The piece is hand driven and a gentle touch will get it moving for about five minutes.

The piece is about six feet tall and is made of mild steel and bronze. There is a clear coat of Penetrol over the entire piece.

This is an indoor or outdoor sculpture sculpture. If the suculpture is located outside under cover the original finish will remain in original condition for years. If exposed to rain the sculpture will develope minor rust but will continue to function like new. The bearings are stainless steel and will not rust. The piece pictured above was sold at the Lake Oswego Festival of the arts.
